The festival is a celebration of song, story, dance and craft, and so much more. Taking place in a beautiful lakeside setting, Mariposa features some of the most renowned artists on the North American and international scenes, as well as emerging artists for you to discover. It is a 3-day getaway with 100+ performances on 11 stages. For those camping at Mariposa, the fun starts the day before the festival opens and finishes the day after it closes.

Greening Mariposa

Mariposa Folk Festival decided in 2009 to go green in a big way. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, audiences, funders and partners, we continue to make reductions in our environmental footprint, and great strides in the promotion of environmental education!

GREENING INITIATIVES

Camping

Our camping is in a lovely, mostly treed area just a short walk from the festival stages. Much of the camping area has a view of the lake, and there’s easy access to the beach for all campers too!
