Arts for Peace is a grassroots and local volunteer run, non profit organization that has put on a festival for 35 years in Orillia. We are revitalizing this year after the pandemic shut us down. Families have been enjoying this free event for years and we are excited to begin again the effort to plant seeds of peace through art.

Georgian Bay Folk Society
The Georgian Bay Folk Society (GBFS) is a cultural organization led by volunteers that presents, promotes and encourages folk music and folk art in the community. The GBFS is the recognized ambassador of folk music and other folk arts and crafts within theGrey Bruce region. Its annual event is the Summerfolk Festival.

Mariposa Folk Foundation – Climate Action Committee
Mariposa Folk Foundation recently approved its 2023 – 2027 strategic plan. The plan identifies three strategic priorities – Ensure Organizational Sustainability, Enhance the Core Festival, Deepen Community Ties – and related implementation objectives. The Board’s new Climate Action Committee has been established to explore ways we can Enhance the Core Festival by Becoming a Festival Leader in Climate Resiliency and Sustainability. Mno Aki Land Trust Inc. (MALT) is a federally incorporated land trust and registered charity governed by Indigenous Grandmothers coming together for the wellbeing of our future generations to steward, cultivate relationships, teach, heal, and foster new ways of working with the land and each other.
Moose Hide Campaign
The Moose Hide Campaign is a grassroots movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous men and boys who are standing up against violence towards women and children. Wearing this moose hide signifies your commitment to honour, respect, and protect the women and children in your life and to work together to end violence against women and children.
Orillia Rowing Club
The Orillia Rowing Club aims to share the joy of rowing with teens and adults in the local community in a safe and fun environment. The club promotes recreational and competitive rowing as a healthy, life-long activity, fostering sporting excellence and camaraderie while continuing the century-old tradition of rowing in Orillia.
Orillia Scottish Festival
An annual celebration of Scottish heritage and culture featuring Scottish music, dance, food, and traditions. Established in 1978, it is the longest-running continuous festival in Orillia.
Orillia Youth Centre
The Orillia Youth Centre is a safe, supervised gathering place for youth that provides programs, referrals and opportunities for youth. The centre works to reduce the factors in our community that place youth at risk.
Parks Canada – Georgian Bay Islands National Park
Georgian Bay Islands National Park protects 63 islands within Earth’s largest freshwater archipelago, stretching for 50 kilometres along eastern Georgian Bay. This island park harbours incredible biodiversity. Cultural roots run deep, reaching back through 5,500 years of human history. Guests hike more than dozen marked paths, cycle scenic trails, swim from sandy or stony shores, ply remote waters via paddle or powerboat and unwind at campsites and cabins overlooking a vast and serene Great Lakes shoreline. At Mariposa, Parks Canada will present activities, crafts and stories about conservation of species-at-risk, environmental sustainability and #ForTheLoveOfParks.

Raising the Roof
For over 26 years Raising the Roof has been leading the way on long-term solutions to homelessness across Canada through the creation of affordable housing and employment opportunities for people at risk of homelessness. In Orillia, Raising the Roof will be renovating the vacant commercial space on the second storey of the Canada Post building in downtown Orillia into 20 units of housing and adding a third storey with an additional 20 units of housing. 24 of the 40 units of housing will be made available to women and their children who have fled domestic violence and now are in need of permanent affordable housing. Redwood Park Communities will provide ongoing property management and holistic tenant supports.

Sustainable Orillia is a network of citizens committed to improving the quality of life, health and wellness and the environment in our community. Mandated and supported by the mayor and council, Sustainable Orillia provides the framework for more sustainable practices linking community environment, economics and society.
Telecare Distress Line of Greater Simcoe
Based in Orillia, our goal is to be available 24/7 to all residents in any type of distress or crisis situation. We invite you to call whether you’re lonely or isolated, suffering from physical or mental illnesses, struggling with relationship and sexuality issues, enduring the effects of any form of abuse and attempting to heal following a devastating loss. We provide an emotional safety net, helping to alleviate stress, avert crisis and reduce pressure on emergency services.
The Stephen Leacock Associates
The Stephen Leacock Associates works to preserve the literary legacy of Stephen Leacock and oversees the annual Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal of Humour award and encourages the growth of Canadian humour writing. They also administer an annual Student Award for humour writing, to encourage young writers.
