Getting Here

The Mariposa Folk Festival takes place at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park in beautiful Orillia, Ontario. Surrounded by the stunning clear waters of Lake Couchiching, Orillia is well serviced by coaches travelling the north/south bus corridor. If you can, help us reduce our environmental footprint, and save on parking! Ride your bike to the Festival and lock it to the bike racks in our free bicycle parking compounds located at both ticket gates.

Bicycles

Ride your bicycle to the festival.  An onsite bicycle compound is available for free. Bike compounds are located at the front and back gates.

If you wish to ride your bike from the downtown area you may park at Orillia Recreation Centre, located at 255 West St. S. and ride to the site.

A recommended route is to bicycle east on the walking/cycling trail adjacent to the Home Hardware.

Follow the trail to a parking lot near the waterfront. When you enter the parking lot you will see a paved trail running along the waterfront. Turn right and follow the trail all the way to J. B. Tudhope Memorial Park and the festival.

Important Tip:

Bring a flashlight/headlamp if you plan on cycling after sunset as the trail is not lit in sections.

Parking

Onsite parking is very limited and available on a first come, first served basis for $15 per day.

There is also street parking in the vicinity of the festival site, but make sure you obey the parking signs to avoid getting a ticket, and be prepared for a walk to the festival gate.
