Rock Plaza Central

Formed over several years through many improvised shows between complete strangers, Rock Plaza Central officially burst onto the scene in 2006 with the cult hit Are We Not Horses, a concept record about robot horses who think they are real horses. The album was one of the top-rated albums of the year by Pitchfork and CMJ, while Rolling Stone named their live performance as one of the highlights of SXSW 2007. The record has since been staged twice as a musical puppet show in Toronto and at the Atlin Arts & Music Festival near Whitehorse, for which the original members performed as the house band.
