Loviet

A powerhouse of 90’s-tinged indie rock/alternative pop, Loviet (pronounced like Soviet with an L) has made a name for herself supporting critically acclaimed artists like The Beaches, Giant Rooks and Jesse Jo Stark and performing at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Riotfest and Ottawa Summerfest Milwaukee. Her live show, described by Exclaim! Magazine’s Megan LaPierre is ‘larger than life’, delivering a show that is fit for an arena.

Praised for her “signature, shimmery hooks with emotionally honest lyrics” (Notion) and “addictive, retro pop-rock…” (CBC), Loviet, nee Natalie Lynn, has spent the last 5 years in Toronto honing her craft, touring throughout Canada, UK and the US while growing her fanbase and catalog independently.

EP The Nighttime Is All In The Timing received Music Nova Scotia’s Rock Recording of the Year 2024 and the East Coast Music Award’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year 2025. Produced by American indie-rock band Now, Now, the record is a five-track offering that’s sonically expansive and emotionally charged, described by Loviet as “…lots of guitars, energy, power, and mess.”.

“Loviet’s latest single, ‘STIFFY,’ hits hard—both sonically and thematically. Known for blending emotional rawness with high-octane alt-indie pop, the artist delivers a track as provocative in name as it is in sound. Self-produced and steeped in early-2000s indie rock nostalgia, “STIFFY” marks a bold return to the rock influences that have long shaped Loviet’s sound.” – Melodic Mag
