Aysanabee is an Oji-Cree singer songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who uses folk, soul and alt-pop to tell stories about his life, his lived experience and reconnecting with his roots.

Aysanabee came onto the music scene after featuring in the Indigenous Music Awards’ 2020 emerging artists series and took part in the IMAs music video competition which featured his unique finger-style guitar playing.

He later featured in the Giiwewizh docuseries directed by Sarain Fox and presented by the Indigenous Music Summit which highlighted the stories of First Nations artists from all across the country.

Aysanabee is currently producing his first full-length album in partnership with Ishkode Records, a newly formed Indigenous owned-and-operated label founded by Amanda Rheaume and Shoshona Kish.
